Data protection declaration

We take data protection seriously

Protecting your privacy when processing personal data is an important concern for us. When you visit our website, our web servers by default save the IP address of your internet service provider, the website you came from, the pages you visit on our site and the date and duration of your visit. This information is essential for the technical presentation of the website and for secure server operation. Personalised evaluation of these data does not take place.

If you send us data via a contact form, these data will be stored on our servers for backup. Your data will exclusively be used by us to process your request. Your data will be handled in strict confidence. These data will not be transferred to third parties.

The responsible party:

Gigler Elektronik GmbH
Industriestraße 8
D-94357 Konzell

Telephone: +49 (0) 9963 / 94 30 44 -0
Email: info@gigler-elektronik.de

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or with others, decides the purposes and means of processing of personal data (e.g. name, email addresses or similar).

Personal data

Personal data are data relating to you personally. These include your name, address and email. You do not need to disclose any personal data to be able to visit our internet site. In certain cases, we require your name, address and further information in order to provide you the service you desire.

The same applies for cases in which you request that we provide you with informative material or answer your queries. In these cases, we will always notify you of this. In addition, we only store data that you have automatically or voluntarily supplied to us.

If you use one of our services, as a rule we only collect the data that are necessary in order to be able to provide the service. It may be that we ask you for further information; this, however, is voluntarily given. Whenever we process personal data, we do this in order to offer you our services or to pursue our own commercial goals.

Automatically stored data

Server log files

The provider of the pages collects and automatically stores information in so-called server log files, transmitted automatically to us by your browser. These include:

date and time of the request
name of the file requested
page from which the file was requested
access status (file transmitted, file not found etc.)
web browser and operating system used
complete IP address of the computer making the request
amount of data transferred

No collation of these data with other sources is carried out. This processing takes place as per Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the improvement of the stability and functionality of our website.

For reasons of technical security, in particular, to defend against attacks on our web server, these data are stored by us over the short term. None of these data can be traced back to an individual person. After at most seven days, these data are anonymised by truncating the IP address to the domain level, meaning it is no longer possible to relate them to a single user. Once anonymised, these data are then used for statistical purposes; neither comparison with other databases nor transfer to a third party, in whole or in part, takes place.

Cookies

If you visit our internet site, we may save information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an internet server to your browser and are stored on your hard drive. Without consent, only the Internet Protocol address is saved in this case, with no other personal data. The information stored in the cookies allows you to be recognised when you return to our site, making use of the website easier for you. The legal basis for the use of cookies is a legitimate interest as per Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR.

Of course, you can also visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognised on your next visit, you can also decline the use of cookies by setting your browser settings to “block cookies”. You can find out how to do this in the instructions for use of your particular browser. If you decline the use of cookies, some areas of our internet site may be limited in their use.

Security

We have taken preventive technical and administrative security measures in order to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, tampering and unauthorised access. All our employees and service providers working for us are bound by the applicable data protection laws.

Every time we collect and process personal data, they are encrypted before transfer. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security measures are subject to a continuous improvement process and our data protection declarations are constantly updated. Please ensure you are in possession of the latest version.

Rights of the data subject

You have at all times the right of access, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, the right to object to processing, a right to data portability and a right to complain as per the requirements of data protection law.

Right of access:

You can demand from us information on whether and to what extent we are processing your data.

Right to rectification:

If we process data of yours that are incomplete or incorrect, you can at any time demand their rectification or completion by us.

Right to erasure:

You can demand that we delete your data if we are processing them in contravention of the law or if the processing represents a disproportionate infringement of your legitimate protective interests. Please take note that there may be reasons that prevent immediate erasure, e.g. in case of legally mandated retention obligations.

Independently of your right to erasure, we will promptly and completely delete your data as soon as no legal or transactional requirement to retain it is in force.

Right to restriction of processing:

You can demand from us the restriction of processing of your data if

you contest the correctness of the data; such restriction will last for the period required for us to check the correctness of the data;
the processing of the data is unlawful, but you do not wish to delete the data, preferring to demand restriction of processing;
we do not need the data for the intended purpose any more, but you require them in order to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
if you have objected to the processing of the data.

The right to data portability:

You can demand from us that we provide the data that you have transferred to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and have the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from us, provided

we have processed these data on the basis of consent you have given and can withdraw, or to fulfil a contract between us, and
the processing is carried out by automated means.

If technically possible, you can demand from us the direct transfer of your data to another controller.

Right to object:

If we are processing your data on the basis of a legitimate interest, you can object at any time to this processing; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. We will then no longer process your data as long as we are unable to demonstrate compelling grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or if the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. You can object to the processing of your data for direct advertising purposes at any time without giving reasons.

The right to complain:

If you believe that we have infringed German or European data protection law in processing your data, we request that you get in touch with us in order to explain the matter. Naturally, you also have the right to turn to your regulatory authority, the respective State Office for Data Protection.

If you wish to exercise one of the abovementioned rights, please contact our data protection officer. In case of doubt, we may request additional information to confirm your identity.

Amendments to this data protection declaration

We reserve the right to amend our data protection declaration if new technologies make this necessary. Please ensure you are in possession of the latest version. If fundamental changes are made to this data protection declaration, we will make this known on our website.
